Simon was invited to take part in the South Hempstead Fire Department’s Firemen’s Jam – to come out and jam with the guys, the bands, meet the fire fighters and their families and have some fun! With the help of a police escort, Simon arrived at the SHFD and donned some fire fighting gear for photos with the guys and equipment. Afterwards, the station was set up to host a night of music, from bands made up of firemen and friends. Simon joined in on the action for My Wife and Long Live Rock. He then performed solo on electric: I’m The Answer, Forever And A Day and Time Bomb. Later he joined The Legendary Murphys for a go at Squeezebox! You can also read Simon’s Blog post about the day.
