“I’m loving it,” he says enthusiastically, “We played the back room of a pub in Sheffield last night and had a fantastic response, it was so much fun.”
Life on the road as a solo artist is a far cry from the style of travel to which he has become accustomed.
“Yes, it takes a bit of getting used to, having to carry your own amps again!” he jokes. “On tour with The Who everything is luxurious, we are really spoilt, staying in the very best hotels and being flown everywhere by private jet.”
