Stage Two

Blog from pool side, Menorca, Balearics:

Hey All.
Thanks for all the cool comments. I read and totally appreciate all of them, even the cranky ones.
Stage two of Time The Healer…. Here is the Mono Robot mix. This is all about the electric guitar. It was a gift and I’m really not sure I deserve it. Anyway, it fits in to my song perfectly so I’m ‘avin it!
Unless you are into creating your own dual mono version of this track, you’ll have to wait until next week for the full, multi spectral, color version, all of which I will be making available to you, once again, free of charge.

Isn’t this fun! Stay tuned.

  1. I’m enjoying this a lot! Thanks so much for sharing–for letting us in on your process.

  2. Dig the funky guitar dive note at the start. A lot. Post Title -Second Stage- There’s a song there.

It is also what you hit at about half track in a 1320′ dig, your second kit, second stage of Nitrous Oxide.

    Either way, a blast!

    Cool.

  3. This experiment has allowed for an extended period of focus on your singing voice and the dynamic range it reaches in your songs.

Like a complex cup of Joe, your high notes are of a ‘floral’ essence and when you drink down deeper, especially in this song, you get hints of Richie Havens and Joe Cocker.

  4. First Impression:

The lyrics are upbeat and point toward, obviously, a type of healing. Healing of the emotional kind but also perhaps the Spiritual kind. In this regard, the upbeat additives are not hazardous to one’s health, or the song.

Very enjoyable experiment going on here. Thanks for opening it up.

And enjoy your Holiday. Sure to find some inspiration out there. If you happen to see Bar Rafaeli
please tell her I said ‘Hi’ and I am still available. And if she is tanning topless, maybe post a pic (there are other types of healing as well!!)

  5. Yes, this is fun! I’ll have a new album full of Simon songs before I know it. I’ll wait for your Dual Robot version as the levels of the 2 mono versions are quite a bit different.

  6. Very cool track love the chord changes the vocals brilliant production too Simon all the best!😊🎶✌🏻️✌🏻✌🏻🎸Bill.
