Quadrophenia and more tour rolls on

In Tour Diary by Kathy3 Comments

While opening night in Sunrise FL had some technical difficulties and threatened to harm Pete’s ears, the reports from the road say successive shows have gotten better and better.

After Sunrise (opening night), Simon tweeted:
Simon Townshend @simont40000 pete walked off tonight because it was too loud. was a good show but had some technical problems

After Orlando:
Simon Townshend @simont40000 The Who… That’s more like it. Great show. We got over all the first night technical problems. Quad went smoothly and the 2nd set rocked.

After Atlanta:
Simon Townshend @simont40000 Killer show tonight. Quad is really getting stronger and tighter. Won’t get fooled again, my fave Who song was amazing. Love jammin to that

CD available for purchase at all Who shows

  1. The Who put on a brilliant show at the Bell in Montreal last night.
If you are anywhere near a show venue you should grab any ticket you can.
The entire band is playing at full tilt, and Roger kills the vocals.
You also must get there in time to meet Simon before the show and purchase his CD.
I listened to it this morning and it will make a full playlist on my IPod,there is not a “filler”
tune to be had,all are excellent.
Simon,…please try to return with your band to showcase your work.
Thanks for the time spent at the meet and greet.

  2. Dear Simon:

Saw you at Verizon Ctr in D.C. last night. Great, great show. What a thrill to see and hear The Ox and Keith joining all of you. As usual, The Who set the standard for rock performance: superb musicianship and great visuals that are actually on screen long enough to appreciate in this ADD world.

I’m going to see if I can catch another show on the East Coast when you’re back.

You should consider coming back to D.C. once more during this tour, if you can.

Thanks to you and the band for one of the best evenings of music I have ever enjoyed.

    Long Live Rock!
